Moscow Domodedovo Airport is ready for the autumn-winter 2011-2012: it has more than doubled the storage facilities for de-icing fluids (DIF), expanded the capacity of diesel generator sets (DGS), and purchased additional hardware for de-icing of aircrafts.Five machines for de-icing of aircrafts has been bought for the new season, and the total number of these pieces of equipment has reached 24 units; the storage facilities for DIF has been expanded from 320 to 880 m3, which will make it possible to create an emergency supply, sufficient for 15 days of work in normal weather conditions.In addition, the airport has developed and is currently implementing a number of projects, which will enable it to operate normally in case of extreme weather conditions and the possible occurrence of other circumstances beyond the control of the airport services.
