Domodedovo International Airport (Moscow, Russia) and Czech Airlines have covenanted for Domodedovo to be the Airlines' alternate airport. According to the agreement signed by CSA, in case of lack of possibility for landing in the basic airport, Czhech Airlines' aircrafts will be forwarded to Domodedovo instead of flying to other more distant airports. EAST LINE Technique, started in September 2002 on the base of Domodedovo Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Centre, has got JAR-145 certificate, which gives the right to carry out operational technical maintenance of Airbus 319/320/321 aircrafts. In January 2004 the overall passenger turnover of Domodedovo Airport amounted to 740,000 passengers. This number exceeds the result of the same period in 2003 by 50,5%. Starting from February, 2004 Pulkovo Airlines introduces a new schedule at Domodedovo-St.Petersburg-Domodedovo direction. Pulkovo Airlines management has made a decision to increase the number of flights from 13 to 18 a week, which is a 40% growth. For passengers' convenience the flights are performed at the same time during a week. Currently 3 return flights are performed week-days, 2 on Saturdays and 1 on Sundays. This week Domodedovo International Airport's passenger terminal went through a compulsory annual quality management system inspection by auditors accredited by German certification body TUV CERT.The inspection aimed at a spot check of the terminal activity compliance with the ISO 9001-2000standard.Domodedovo is the only Russian airport with ISO-certified passenger terminal.A complex inspection controlling Passenger terminal facilities activity was undertaken. AMB Domodedovo is the largest Russian enterprise for aircraft maintenance and overhaul. It provides services to airlines not only at Domodedovo airport but also at regional airports. Flight information analysis and decoding  and provision of aircraft operating documentation  is one of the directions of cooperation between AMB and regional airports. Flight information analysis and decording is one of the most important aspects of providing flights security. In comparison with 2002 total passenger traffic volume in Domodedovo International Airport increased by 40,3% in 2003 and summed up to 9.4 million passengers (6.7 million in 2002). A museum of Domodedovo International Airport (Moscow, Russia) has been opened after a period of more than 18 months. On the threshold of the New Year Transaero Airlines opened a new business-lounge for its international passengers.The 160,3 sq.m lounge meant for some 60 passengers offers smorgasbord and state-of-the-art facilities for business people: Internet, printers, copiers, satellite TV.Transaero is the third company opening its business lounge at Domodedovo International Airport. The EAST LINE Group has completed the reconstruction of the primary passenger terminal of the Domodedovo International Airport. The reconstruction considerably expanded and modernised the terminal. The passenger capacity of the airport reached 6,000 passengers per hour: 3,200 passengers on domestic flights and 2,800 passengers on international. Domodedovo International Airport hosted the ceremony of the launch of operations of the new Tu-204-100 airliner that will be flying under KrasAir colours. The airliner was christened “Alexander Lebed’”. The aircraft was delivered to the airline with the support of the Ilushin Finance leasing company. Today Tu-204-100 is one of the most economical and comfortable Russian airliners. The passenger cabin is suited for 175 passengers, including 12 business-class seats. The aircraft is fitted with ICAO-compliant equipment that allows it to fly over Europe. Swiss airline has become the first company from the far foreign countries, that started to provide this service to its clients. Registration at Paveletskiy station will be carried out for two day flights to Geneva and Zurich. The registration for both flights begins at 12.00.At the present moment about a quarter of the entire airport passenger traffic uses the services of a speed transport system connecting Domodedovo airport with the capital of Moscow by the speed railway communication.The project of a speed transport system has been realized by the efforts of Ministry of Railway Communications, Russian Railway, Moscow Railway and EAST LINE Group – managing company of Domodedovo airport.
