On the eve of the first flight by Iberia, Spain's national carrier, from Barajas airport in Madrid to Domodedovo in Moscow, Domodedovo International Airport was visited by a delegation from the Embassy of Spain. Domodedovo Jet Service fueling facility, a subsidiary of EAST LINE Group, has signed an agreement with Shell Aviation Limited to receive aviation-related services and technical consultations.According to the agreement, as off January 1, 2005 Shell Aviation Limited provides Domodedovo Jet Service with technical documentation and information, consultations on modernising a fueling complex in the airport. According to the agreement, Shell Aviation Limited will send its specialists to carry out an annual inspection of fueling facilities at Domodedovo International Airport to check all equipment, constructions and technologies used at the airport's fueling complex. The inspection will be accompanied with all neccessary consultations and recomendations on operational and technical issues. East Line Group, the managing company of Moscow’s Domodedovo International Airport have announced that 12.067 million passengers passed through Domodedovo between January and December in 2004, increasing its passenger flow by 30% compared to the same period in 2003.The passenger flow on international routes reached 6.34 million passengers, which is a 43.3% increase compared with the same period last year.The highest growth in passenger numbers was recorded on routes to destinations such as Hurgada, Antalya, Sharm El Sheikh, London, Baku, Dubai and Dushanbe. In 11 months of 2004 the overall passenger flow of Domodedovo International Airport amounted to 11.240 million pasengers which is 30,4% more than the same period of 2003. Passenger flow on international routes reached 5.930 million passengers, which is a 45,4% more compared with the same period of 2003. EAST LINE Group, an operator of Domodedovo International Airport, jointly with JSC Russian Railroads and Moscow Railroad have started realization of the project to enlarge the passenger air terminal at Paveletsky Railway Station. The downtown terminal and High-speed railways link Paveletsky station - Domodedovo International Airport are important constituents of the airport's infrustructure. After the recunstruction, the total air terminal area will be enlarged almost two-folds, up to 3.000 sq.meters. Karthago Airlines has started realizing a new winter programme from Domodedovo International Airport. A new flight to Monastir has been launched. The new flight is the 26th destination within the airport's international route network. As of December 14, 2004 Karthago Airlines started performing sheduled flights from Domodedovo to Monastir. The flights are performed on Tuesdays by Boeing 737-300. Since December 25 the flights will also be performed on Saturday with a frequency 1 flight per three weeks. Domodedovo International Airport has boosted its route network with a new flight to Arkhangelsk. The new link is a 64th destination within the domestic route network of the airport. As of December 10, 2004 Samara Airlines started performing scheduled flights from Domodedovo to Arkhangelsk. The flight is performed by Tu-134 aircraft. Since December 10, three flights are performed weekly, and starting from December 20, the flight will be performed daily. Apart from the flight to Arkhangelsk, Samara Airways flies to Nakhichevan and Samara from Domodedovo International Airport.
