Domodedovo International Airport received the certificate to accommodate aircraft BAC 1-11 with technical and engineering personnel and maintenance kit on board.On August 8, 2006, the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency issued an Order signed by Alexander Yurchik, Head of the Agency, in accordance with the Act on the airport’s readiness of July 19, 2006.The accommodation was received due to the plans of Altyn Air to launch regular services on the route Bishkek - Moscow (Domodedovo) – Bishkek operating BAC 1-11. INTERAVIA airline launched a regular service to the city of Mineralnye Vody from Domodedovo International Airport. Domodedovo International Airport’s Performance Results for Seven Months of 2006

According to the results of January-July 2006, Domodedovo International Airport maintains the leading position in terms of passenger traffic in the Moscow aviation hub.In the first seven months of 2006 passenger throughput reached 8,366,000 passengers, a 11,6% increase over the same period of 2005.The highest growth was recorded on the routes to such destinations as Bangkok, Sochi, Rostov-on-Don, St.Petersburg, Volgograd, Samara, London, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Larnaka, Mineralnye Vody. Domodedovo serviced 1,130,000 passengers on these routes, a 50% growth against the results of January-July 2005.Passenger traffic in July 2006 amounted to 1,733,000 passengers, an 8.1% growth against the result of July 2005.Domodedovo actively enhances its aviation security within the ICAO standards and Russian laws. British Air Carrier BMI Starts Regular Services from Domodedovo International Airport

bmi airline, one of the key British air carriers, launches regular flights to Domodedovo International Airport. The route will be operated daily on the Airbus A320 aircraft, offering economy and business class cabins.The airline will be the 19-th international air carrier that performs scheduled flights from Domodedovo International Airport. And bmi is the forth airline-member of Star Alliance that makes scheduled flights from Domodedovo airport. Four-Year Anniversary of Rapid Transportation System from Paveletskiy Station to Domodedovo

The rapid transportation system that provides speed rail link between Domodedovo International Airport and the Paveletskiy Railway Station in Moscow celebrates its fourth anniversary.The rapid transportation system “Paveletskiy – Domodedovo” is a joint project of “Russian Railroads” and EAST LINE Group implemented in 2002 within the complex program of the airport development.Domodedovo’s air passenger City-terminal located at the Paveletskiy station provides passenger and luggage check-in. The City-terminal facilities along with a non-stop rail service allow Domodedovo’s passengers to travel comfortably to the airport and to save time, given the increasing traffic on Moscow roads.Today, an 8-car non-stop train runs every 30 minutes in the morning and evening and every hour during the day time. Travel time – 40 minutes. A non-stop train services over 9,000 passengers per day, on average, that is 25% of the total Domodedovo’s passenger traffic. Domodedovo International Airport wins the leading position in the Moscow aviation hub in terms of aircraft movement number. In June 2006 Domodedovo handled 13,899 aircraft movements, a 13% growth over June 2005.In July 2006 Domodedovo serviced 14,898 aircraft movements, a 14% increase against July 2005. According to the airport’s forecast, the number of aircraft movement will amount to 15,600 in August 2006. The biggest number of aircraft movements handled in an hour reaches 44, while an average number is 20 operations.Domodedovo airport is the only airport in the Moscow aviation hub that can operate both runways at the same time. Tu-114 was dismantled in Domodedovo International airport

Within the reconstruction of Moscow Domodedovo International airport Landside, Tu-114 aircraft was dismantled. The jet was fixed up in Domodedovo Landside in 1977 to commemorate 20-year anniversary of accident free exploitation of this type aircraft.In accordance with the Landside reconstruction plan a rare jet located on the airport’s future parking area site was supposed to be removed after its renovation to another place in the area adjacent to the airport. The decision on dismantling was made after an expert panel had examined the aircraft’s condition. From 1 July “Interavia” airline starts to perform flights to Naryan-Mar from Domodedovo International Airport. The air carrier will operate Yak-42 jets in two class layout – business and economy – on this route.The airline plans to make weekly flight (on Saturdays) from 1 to 15 July. And it will start thrice weekly service (on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays) from 15 to 9 September. From 11 September flights will be made two times per week – on Mondays and Saturdays. Domodedovo International Airport Starts Operating Double Air Bridges

Domodedovo International Airport continues to improve technologies of passenger and airline servicing. Within the framework of the modernization of the airport complex, two double air bridges made by ThyssenKrupp have been set into operation in the international airlines’ area.Double air bridges of new types designed to service high capacity aircraft and provide for simultaneous passenger boarding and getting of the plane using two doors of an aircraft.The air bridges are equipped with microclimate control and three level security system. The height range of aircraft servicing varies from 2 to 5.5 meters. The operating area is from 15 to 33 meters that allows handling nearly all types of aircraft. Technological features of the equipment significantly facilitate their operations and include management system adopted to the Russian language, hydraulic gear, reduced load on the apron.Currently, there are 24 air bridges in the airport, including 22 air bridges produced by ThyssenKrupp and two – by FMC.
