Germany's second largest airline is expanding its flights between Berlin-Tegel and Phuket from 1 November 2011. In addition to the previous connections in the winter flight schedule on Fridays and Sundays, airberlin will also fly on Tuesdays to the Thai resort island. The departure from Berlin-Tegel is on Tuesdays at 15:05 with arrival on Wednesday at 07:30 local time in Phuket. In the opposite direction, the flight starts at 09:15 local time with arrival at 15:15 in Berlin-Tegel. airberlin offers its passengers round trip Rail & Fly Tickets to the Berlin-Tegel Airport. In March 2011, airberlin welcomed 2,594,556 passengers on board, i.e. slightly less (-0.2 percent) than in the corresponding month of the previous year (March 2010: 2,599,960 passengers). Fleet capacity utilization increased by 1.8 percentage points, namely from 71.8 to 73.6 percent. In comparison with March of the previous year, capacity was reduced by 2.7 percent. For the period from January to March 2011, a total of 6,871,801 passengers traveled on airberlin's flight route network, i.e. 1.9 percent more than in the corresponding period of the previous year (2010: 6,742,088 passengers). Fleet capacity utilization for the first three months of the year increased by 2.2 percentage points, namely from 70.3 to 72.5 percent. First Commercial Flight of Emirates SkyCargo to Moscow

On the Eve of March, 8th Boeing 777 Freighter of Emirates SkyCargo, cargo division of the Dubai-based Emirates Airline, landed in Moscow Domodedovo Airport with over 60 tons of flowers from Kenya onboard. The service became first commercial flight of Emirates SkyCargo to Moscow. Among other goods, the aircraft carried 450 thousand of roses weighting 64 tons in total.
