January-November 2005 results indicate that Domodedovo International Airport maintains the leading position in terms of passenger traffic in the Moscow aviation hub. The airport’s overall turnover in the first eleven months of 2005 reached 12,970,000 passengers, a 15.4% increase over the same period of 2004. The highest growth in passenger numbers was recorded on routes to such destinations as Antalya, Tel Aviv, Tashkent, Sharm el Sheikh, Sochi, Hurghada, Barcelona, Dubai. Domodedovo Airport serviced more than 3.5 million passengers on the mentioned routes, an increase of 140% against the results of January-November 2004. On Nov. 8, 2005, the Moscow Arbitration Court of Appeal declared null and void a 1997 contract providing for the contribution of the movable assets of an airport passenger terminal in Domodedovo Airport (DME) to the charter capital of Domodedovo-2 (later AVK Domodedovo), a subsidiary of FML Ltd. Karthago Airlines, Tunisian air carrier, starts carrying out its regular winter programme of flights to Monastir, a Tunisian tourist center, from Domodedovo International Airport.
