International Children’s Day in Domodedovo

On June 1 2010 in International Children’s Day little travelers may set out on a trip to Domodedovo Island in search of adventure and presents.A map of Domodedovo Island where four fictional characters live: Pippi Longstocking, Malvina, Pirate and Neznaika will be placed in the centre of Domodedovo passenger terminal. Each of the heroes will be depicted in the map so children could choose a character to meet.For instance Malvina runs a competition Make a Word offering children to pull out five letters (Cyrillic and Latin) of a bag and make a word of them. Pirate plays with children an old game where one should throw on tackles on a mast. Moskovia Airlines – 5 years from Domodedovo

Moscow Domodedovo Airport and Moskovia Airlines are glad to announce a five-year anniversary of successful cooperation which was started on May 24 2005.It took only five years for the airline to establish the most developed route network to the CIS destinations. At the moment Moskovia Airlines operates flights to 9 cities of Uzbekistan and 1 city of Azerbaijan. S7 Airlines to Operate from Domodedovo to Abakan

S7 Airlines – the largest Russian carrier in terms of domestic passenger traffic announces the launch of its scheduled flights from Moscow Domodedovo Airport to the capital of the Republic of Khakasia (Russia) – Abakan.The flight Moscow – Abakan operated twice a week by Airbus A319 is effective from May 27. Domodedovo Performance Indicators in April 2010

Moscow Domodedovo Airport recorded growth of physical indicators in April 2010.April 2010 saw 15 412 flights served in Domodedovo which is an increase by 16,3% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.Moscow Domodedovo Airport passenger traffic volumes totaled 1 545 030 based on results of April 2010 which is 25,0% more compared to the same month previous year.Cargo traffic in Domodedovo demonstrated growth by 31,3% compared to the same month of the last year rates and reached 12 585 tons.Domestic passenger traffic growth was recorded and totaled 642 111 which is an increase by 25,6% compared to the same period in 2009.International passenger traffic in April 2010 increased by 24,5,0% compared to the same month last year and totaled 902 919 passengers.Following the results of the first four months 2010 total passenger traffic reached 5 831 737 which is 32,8% more compared to the same period last year.Domestic passenger traffic in January-April 2010 saw 2 329 829 (an increase of 34,3% compared t  >>>

AirBridgeCargo Launches a Direct Cargo Service between Frankfurt and Domodedovo

Moscow Domodedovo Airport and AirBridgeCargo airline announce a new scheduled freighter service between Moscow (Domodedovo) and Frankfurt effective from May 30 2010. The direct flights will be operated on a weekly basis. AirBridgeCargo is the only freighter in Russia to connect international airports Frankfurt and Domodedovo. Domodedovo and VIM Airlines Resume Joint Excursions for Children

On May 25 Moscow Domodedovo Airport and VIM Airlines held a regular charity event for children. This time little patients of the Rehabilitation Centre for Children were invited to the airport to become its guests.Firstly the children were briefed to the history of the airport and acquainted to various services operated there. Then they were invited on board of VIM Airlines plane - where members of a flight crew guided children to passenger compartment and cockpit of Boeing 757-200. Three Years of Cooperation between Montenegro Airlines and Domodedovo

Aeroexpress to introduce a new frequent timetable for 2010-2011 on May 30

Starting from May 30 2010 Aeroexpress together with Moscow Railway (a branch of OJSC Russian Railways) will introduce a new frequent timetable to remain in effect through to July 2011 for all of its routes.For the convenience of its passengers Aeroexpress will increase the frequency of electric trains in peak hours by introducing, all in all, 34 more trains a day.According to the new timetable, 10 Aeroexpresses will be added on the Paveletsky Railway Station – Domodedovo Airport line with the total number of trains increasing from 59 to 69 a day. In particular, the following Aeroexpress trains will be running between Moscow and Domodedovo Airport: 07:30, 13:30, 15:30, 17:30, 21:30 and 00:00 departing from Paveletsky Railway Station; and 14:30, 16:30, 17:30 and 23:30 departing from the airport. Domodedovo Excursion for Orphans

Children have always been welcome guests in Moscow Domodedovo Airport. It was in January 2008 when a program of regular excursions for children was launched to allow them experience exciting life of one of the largest airports in Europe. On April 12 2010 a Charity Fund If not me, then who? in cooperation with Domodedovo airport as part of the Gifted Children project arranged an excursion to the airport facilities for children from one of Moscow orphan houses.They felt like passengers being guided to the passenger terminal, check-in area, domestic/international arrival and departure halls. Moscow – Beijing: first time with Transaero from Domodedovo

On June 4 2010 a brand new service Moscow – Beijing will appear in the market.
