Sheremetyevo international airport summarized its activities for September and nine months ofВ 2011. The number ofВ serviced passengers increased 16.6% upВ toВ 17В mln.В 145 thousand passengers compared toВ the similar period ofВ the past year.
The passenger traffic on international airlines increased 18.4% since January to September and amounted 11 mln. 091 thousand passengers, on internal air lines — for 13.6% up to 6 mln. 054 thousand passengers.
InВ September 2011 Sheremetyevo airport serviced 2В mln.В 265 thousand air travelers which isВ 16.2% more than inВ the similar period ofВ the last year. AtВ this the number ofВ passengers onВ international airlines increased 15.7% upВ toВ 1В mln.В 447В thousand, onВ internal airlines the increase amounted 17.2% and 817.1 thousand passengers.
The most popular international destinations within nine months ofВ this year are Antalia, Paris, Istanbul, Prague, Beijing, Rome, and Amsterdam. The most demanded federal destinations are St. Petersburg, Sochi, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Rostov-on-Don, Samara.
The main increase ofВ the passenger traffic inВ January-September 2011 was ensured byВ such air companies asВ Aeroflot, Transaero, Nordavia, NordWind, Aerosvit, Air France, Turkish airlines.
Sheremetyevo airport serviced 157.7 thousand takeoffs and landings from January toВ September 2011 which isВ 14.5% more than for the similar period ofВ the year 2010. The number ofВ takeoffs and landings grew 14.7% upВ toВ 19.4 thousand passengers inВ September.
