On September 20, 2012 the failure of the global SITA system (Atlanta, USA) was registered. From 20:02 local time for carriers which use SITA system and operate the flights from Moscow Domodedovo Airport, this check-in system was not available.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport continued to operate in a regular mode in spite of this failure. Domodedovo airport suggested to its partners to use an alternative method of passengers check-in – through its own local check-in system. By 23:45 local time September 20, the failure in SITA system was eliminated. All flights from Moscow Domodedovo Airport are carried out on time.
