Inflow Program: Future is Created Today
On July 1, Moscow Domodedovo Airport will traditionally begin internship for students participating in the special program Inflow: This season 935 people will have an opportunity to apply their knowledge at 15 enterprises of the airport. In total, the program involved nearly 3,000 people, and by the beginning of the new study season, they will be joined by more than 500 students from universities and colleges.
The Inflow program is justly considered the know-how of Moscow Domodedovo Airport: It makes it possible to effectively solve several problems at a time, which are faced by both employers and graduate students in secondary and higher educational institutions of Russia.
Domodedovo, as the largest airport in the country in terms of passenger traffic, requires a large number of qualified personnel. However, currently there is a paradoxical situation in the labor market - It exists in theory but in practice it is difficult to find a skilled professional. On the other hand, students of higher and secondary educational institutions are often facing the problem of finding a job. The Inflow program makes it possible to functionally determine areas of interaction between universities and secondary specialized educational institutions and the enterprises belonging to Domodedovo Airport and to train qualified professionals for specific specialties. Students are prepared for work at the airport literally from the first year. They hear lectures and participate in workshops and training sessions, designed especially for them by specialists of Domodedovo Airport.
A special form of motivation for the best students is their participation in business games, which have been held annually since 2009. The games simulate different stages of work at the enterprises of Domodedovo Airport, forming the students' skills in planning and carrying out the basic arrangement and motivational activities. Every year there are new rules and scenarios developed for the business game, but the main thing is invariable - game positions are analogous to the real staff positions at Domodedovo Airport.
Participation in the business games and successful training under the program provides ambitious students with the possibility to enter into the "social elevator", which helps the management of the airport to identify and support the most promising young staff.
In addition to university and college students, the Influx program is aimed at pupils of 9-11 grades. They can attend training courses for partner secondary and higher education institutions. Domodedovo Airport is implementing the Influx program in conjunction with eight higher and secondary educational institutions: Russian State University for the Humanities, Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, Moscow State Law Academy, Moscow State Industry University, RSUH (college), Vidnovsky Polytechnic College, Polytechnic College 31, and Moscow College of Technology. It is planned to enter into agreements on cooperation with People's Friendship University of Russia, Moscow State Automobile and Road Technical University, Egorievskiy Aviation and Technical College of Civil Aviation, and Technological College No. 34.
Moscow Domodedovo Airport is the largest airport in passenger traffic in Russia. In 2011, the airport served 25,701,610 people, which enabled it to become one of the largest airports in Europe according to the ACI classification. Moscow Domodedovo Airport has been chosen for flights to Moscow by members of the world's leading aviation alliances - Star Alliance, oneworld. Since 2009, Moscow Domodedovo Airport tops the list of the best airports in the Eastern Europe by quality of service, according to an annual survey by the independent research company Skytrax Research (UK).
