Sheremetyevo International Airport has summarized its production performance for December and 2013. The volume of serviced passengers grew by 11.7% over the same period in 2012, reaching 29 million 256 thousand passengers — a record-breaker in the entire history of Sheremetyevo Airport.
Passenger traffic on international airlines in 2013 increased by 8.3%, totaling 18 million 607 thousand passengers, and on domestic airlines — by 18.2%, totaling 10 million 649 thousand passengers.
According to figures for December 2013, passenger traffic at Sheremetyevo Airport grew by 11.5% compared with the same period in 2012, amounting to 2 million 112 thousand passengers. Moreover, passenger traffic on international airlines in December rose by 7% over the same period in 2012, reaching 1 million 247 thousand passengers, and on domestic airlines — by 18.6%, reaching 864.9 thousand passengers.
InВ 2013, Antalya, Paris, Prague and Beijing were among the most popular foreign destinations, with St. Petersburg, Sochi and Krasnodar among the most sought-after domestic destinations.
InВ 2013, Sheremetyevo Airport supported the execution ofВ 243,858 takeoff and landing operations, which isВ 6.5% more than inВ 2012. InВ December, the volume ofВ takeoff and landing operations grew byВ 8.7%, reaching 19,844В operations.
