Sheremetyevo International Airport has recently announced the statistics ofВ its operational activity inВ January 2014. The number ofВ passengers served since the start ofВ the year increased byВ 10.3% against the same period ofВ 2013, reaching aВ total ofВ 2,093,000В passengers.
During the period ofВ the 1st ofВ January toВ the 12th ofВ February, 2014, more than 44,000 passengers flew toВ Sochi from Sheremetyevo Airport, increasing the passenger amountВ 86% from for the same period inВ 2013.
Passenger traffic recorded on IAL’s in January 2014 grew by 5.7%, to 1,304,000 passengers— the highest ratio among the country’s airports. Passenger traffic on DAL’s grew by 18.7%, to 788,000 air travelers.
The most popular destinations inВ January 2014В were: Sochi, Paris, Prague, Kiev, Bangkok, Sharm el-Sheikh, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, and Kaliningrad.
In January 2014, Sheremetyevo Airport conducted 20,200 take-off and landing operations (from TLO’s), proving to be 9% higher than in January 2013.
