Meeting ofВ Sheremetyevo Airport Board ofВ Directors took place

On May 14, 2014 the meeting of JSC Sheremetyevo International Airport’s Board of Directors was held in the form of voting by correspondence.

The Board ofВ Directors gave the unanimous consent toВ reappoint Mikhail Mikhailovich Vasilenko asВ CEO ofВ JSC Sheremetyevo International Airport for three years commencing from MayВ 14, 2014.

Since 2005, under the leadership of M. M. Vasilenko, Sheremetyevo Airport has started intensive development and large-scale re-equipment of its infrastructure, which resulted in increase of passenger terminal quantity from two to six. Annual airport capacity has grown from 12 million to 40 million passengers, and annual passenger traffic has grown from 10 million to 29 million people. Sheremetyevo International Airport has become the country’s largest airport complex according to its area (476 thousand sq. m).

Under the leadership of M. M. Vasilenko, Sheremetyevo Airport achieved high results in quality of services and comfort for passengers. Continuous improvement of service quality level is the priority area of the airport’s activity.

For two consecutive years Sheremetyevo Airport has proved its status of the best European airport offering the best service quality according to the independent ACI ASQ rating. In 2014, as in previous year, Sheremetyevo Airport won the prestigious travel business award “Readers’ Choice Condé Nast Traveller” in nomination “Best Russian airport” and was recognized as the best international airport in Russia according to the results of the survey conducted by the Adam Smith Institute (Great Britain) among experts and industry representatives. Sheremetyevo International Airport is recognized as the favorite Russian brand among travellers according to the polling survey conducted by TripAdvisor — the largest portal dedicated to travelling and tourism. Sheremetyevo Airport has won the annual Travelers’ Choice competition in category “Travel Favorites”.

Sheremetyevo International Airport isВ the first Russian airport which drew anВ integrated plan ofВ prospective development upВ toВ year ofВ 2030, taking into account parameters ofВ the RFВ Transport Strategy upВ toВ 2030. The Master Plan involves increase ofВ Sheremetyevo Airport capacity upВ toВ 64В million people and transit traffic growth byВ 25%.

At present, as a part of the Airport’s Master Plan implementation, JSC MASH and TPS Avia Holding Ltd are setting up two joint ventures: Sheremetyevo Terminal B and Sheremetyevo Terminal-To-Terminal Passage, which offer exciting possibilities to attract investments in strategic projects of Sheremetyevo Airport — construction of a new passenger Terminal B with annual capacity of 15 million people and total area about 100 thousand square meters at the North Terminal Complex and construction of an underground terminal-to-terminal tunnel connecting the North and the South areas of the airport. It is planned to put the above mentioned facilities into operation in 2017.

Construction of the new terminal in the North area of Sheremetyevo Airport will provide an opportunity to ensure passenger traffic growth up to 53 million passengers by 2023, maintaining the achieved level of service quality. Thus, this will provide conditions for prospective development and achievement of goals of the airport’s strategic partner — OJSC Aeroflot, as well as will enable Sheremetyevo Airport to provide transport services during 2018 FIFA World Cup.
