Vladimir Kamynin: "There are companies in the Russian aviation market, which are ahead of the world's leading carriers in innovation"
The 9th Annual Professional Forum "Wings of Russia" was held on October 11-12 in Moscow. The forum was attended by representatives of leading Russian and foreign airlines, airports, government agencies, and industry experts. The participants discussed the prospects of air transport development, aircraft fleet renewal, development of airport infrastructure, regional transport, and flight safety management.
Marketing Director of Moscow Domodedovo Airport, Vladimir Kamynin, spoke on "National Industry VS World’s Best Experience". According to the experience of leading companies, it is possible to specify a number of conditions under which a company can achieve not just good but outstanding results in their work. Vladimir Kamynin has analyzed the availability of conditions necessary to achieve "outstanding" results by the example of leading players in the airline industry, both in Russia and in the world. The results of this analysis showed that these conditions and, accordingly, "outstanding" results are typical for a number of Russian air carriers, which can be called innovative companies.
Speaking about the Russian air transport market V. Kamynin said: "Despite the difficulties of the transition state of our aviation industry, which has been very unstable over the last 10-15 years, it formed high-quality business units competing with world aviation brands on indicators characterizing the companies’ "outstanding" results. Often they are even better than the world's leading carriers by the criteria of innovation and thus generate a new level of competitiveness of the entire national industry."
As a part of the round table "Consolidation of Regional Airports and Establishment of Major Airport Hubs in Russia" industry representatives discussed the issues of public-private partnership in the field of airport management and the prospects for the major airport hubs in Russia. During the discussion, the experts agreed that today Domodedovo Airport remains the only Russian airport that can compete with foreign airports for transfer passengers.
Moscow Domodedovo Airport is the largest airport in Russia. Over 10 years, passenger traffic has increased almost 10-fold, from 2.8 million passengers in 2000 to 22.3 million passengers in 2010. Moscow Domodedovo Airport has been chosen for flights to Moscow by members of the world's leading aviation alliances: Star Alliance, oneworld.
Since 2010, Moscow Domodedovo Airport tops the list of the best airports in the Eastern Europe for the quality of its service, according to the annual rating by the independent research company Skytrax Research (UK).
"Wings of Russia" Forum is one of the most important industrial sites, which annually brings together representatives of Russian and international aviation communities to discuss the most pressing industry issues and find their solutions together. This is a real opportunity to exchange ideas and constructive dialogue among all participants of the air service market: airlines, airports, aviation enterprises, leasing companies, investors and the government.
