airberlin and American Airlines expand codeshare agreement to include Canada
airberlin and American Airlines have added two Canadian destinations to their cooperation agreement. As of today, the codeshare agreement will also include the American Airlines flights from New York-JFK to Montreal and Toronto. The new destinations in Canada will be frequented several times per week and can be reached by airberlin passengers flying from Berlin and Dќsseldorf, via New York. Since airberlin's winter flight plan, for the first time, will also include non-stop flights from Berlin and Dќsseldorf to New York, a year-round connection between the two Canadian cities and airberlin's route network is available.
During the summer of 2011, Montreal-Trudeau Airport and Toronto Pearson International can be reached from Berlin-Tegel, up to four times a week, and from Dќsseldorf, on a daily basis. In the winter of 2011/12, flights to Canada will be departing on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays from Dќsseldorf, and on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from Berlin, both with a stopover in New York. The summer flight schedule also includes a non-stop flight from Dќsseldorf to Vancouver, which is operated by airberlin three times a week.
Tickets for the new connections to Canada can be booked over the Internet at airberlin.com, at the company's Service Center (phone: 01805 ? 737 800; 0.14 ?/min. from landlines or max. 0.42 ?/min. from cell phones) and in travel agencies. Customers of both airline companies will be able to earn and redeem miles throughout the entire flight route network of the partner airline.
