Commentary of Moscow Domodedovo Airport Press Office on the investigative actions carried out at the airport.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport confirms that currently Investigation Committee officers of the Russian Federation carry out investigative actions under the investigation launched following article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. This is in relation to the fact of non-fullfilment on execution of transport security requirements at the airport on January 24th, 2011. The above mentioned requirements were ratified by the Order 40 of Russian Ministry of Transport dated February 8, 2011 (published in Rossiyskaya gazeta on March 16th, 2011 which entered force on March 27th, 2011 - http://www.rg.ru/2011/03/16/avia-dok.html).

The search is carried out at the passenger terminal, Airhotel, airport’s administrative complex, transportation repair service centre, maintenance and repair base and cargo terminal.

Domodedovo airport is interested in the impartial investigation which is the reason why the airport has been actively cooperating with both law-enforcement and investigative authorities at all stages of the investigation from its launch in January 2011 onwards.

The airport is operating in its regular mode.
