Domodedovo International airport summarizes operational results for the first seven months of 2007
As of July 2007, Domodedovo International Airport continues to be the leading airport of the Moscow aviation node in terms of the passenger traffic. In January – July 2007, the airport serviced more than 10 million passengers which is a 19.6% increase as compared to the same period of the previous year.
The most significant passenger traffic growth was observed on flights to the following destinations: Yekaterinburg, Hurghada, Antalya, Vienna, London, Bangkok, St. Petersburg, Chelyabinsk, Tivat, and Baku. In January – July 2007, Domodedovo serviced 2,406 thousand passengers traveling to these destinations, which is 1.4 times the number of passengers serviced on flights to these destinations in the first seven months of 2006.
In July 2007, the overall passenger traffic processed by the airport amounted to 2,113 thousand people which is a 22.0% increase as compared to the July 2006 figure.
