Domodedovo International Airport widens the range of services provided for passengers with limited movement ability.
In the framework of a special programme aimed at implementation of new technologies to service passengers with limited movement ability, Domodedovo International Airport introduces new services for disabled.
Special lifts for disabled are set into operation in the passenger terminal. The new facilities enable disabled to be transported to the ground level and further transfered by car to an aircraft's board.
Disabled are cared for at Domodedovo International Airport by specialists of a special medical service.
In the nearest future, the EAST LINE Group, managing Domodedovo, is going to install a special transportation facility to transfer people with limited movement ability from the ground level directly to board an aircraft.
International arrival area is fitted out with two elevators connecting the passenger terminal with a parking lot. This is of great help for passengers with luggage tracks.
It is planned to install more elevators for passengers in common areas. In particulary, two elevators will be installed in the central zone of the terminal, near escalators to the second level.
All installed elevators are designed to be used for disabled passengers, their control panel is lower than in usual elevators.
The elevators dimensions are comfortable for disabled on wheelchairs.
Constant striving to increase the level of services for all kinds of passengers is one of the main principles of the EAST LINE Group, which aims at making Domodedovo International Airport to meet the strictest international standards.
