Domodedovo International Airport’s Aircraft Maintenance Base (AMB) is providing technical support to Russian regional airports
AMB Domodedovo is the largest Russian enterprise for aircraft maintenance and overhaul. It provides services to airlines not only at Domodedovo airport but also at regional airports.
Flight information analysis and decoding and provision of aircraft operating documentation is one of the directions of cooperation between AMB and regional airports.
Flight information analysis and decording is one of the most important aspects of providing flights security. As a rule, aviation engineering departments of airports have a section that provides this type of aircraft
maintenance but only to aircraft based at a specific airport. However, many regional airports have limited capabilities. They can only provide flight information decoding for certain types of aircraft. AMB does not have such limitations as its technical capabilities provide for decoding of "black boxes" of many types of aircraft used by Russian airlines. AMB Domodedovo has several agreements with Russian airports on providing such services.
At the beginning of the current year the agreement on providing these services was signed with the airport of Volgorad. According to this agreement, AMB Domodedovo will execute flight information decording of Jak-40, Jak-42, Tu-134, Tu-154 and An-24/26.
Providing operating documents for aueronautical equipment is the second crucial direction of AMB Domodedovo’s cooperation with Russian airports and airlines. AMB Domodedovo is the head enterprise, which provides services for Il-18, Il-62, IL-76T/TD. Among the partners of AMB Domodedovo are airlines and aviation engineering departments of airports, which execute technical maintenance of these type of aircraft. More than 60 aviation engineering departments of airlines and airports are cooperating with AMB Domodedovo on this direction. Among AMB’s clients are ‘Volga Dnepr’, ‘Almazy Rossii – Sakha’, Russian Ministry of Emergencies, airports of Irkutsk, Novosibirsk and other.
