Germania Express has launched scheduled flights from Berlin and Munich to Domodedovo International Airport
Since August 26, 2003 Germania Express has launched scheduled services to Domodedovo In-ternational Airport from Berlin and Munich. The airline performs five weekly flights (Monday through Friday) operating Fokker F-100 aircraft in only economy-class layout. Germania Ex-press' F-100 features a wider seat pitch of 86cm, which is a standard business-class layout.
Dr. Hinrich Bischoff, general director of Germania Express underlined that "airline's top man-agement has conducted a thorough study of Moscow airports and has taken a definite decision to perform flights to Domodedovo International Airport".
Germania Express has joined a team of Western airlines flying to Domodedovo International Airport. Currently national air carriers of United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Slove-nia and Switzerland operate scheduled services to Domodedovo.
A flight to Berlin is a new route for Domodedovo International Airport, which today offers flights to 67 destinations outside Russia & CIS.
As Dr. Hinrich Bischoff noticed "one of Domodedovo's advantages is a wide destination network connecting the airport to the Russian regions. Dr. Hinrich Bischoff said that "Domodedovo pro-vides very convenient connections for German passengers to the territory of Russia".
Germania Express plans to expand its destination network to Domodedovo International Airport. The airline considers a possibility to launch flights from Hamburg and Dusseldorf.
