S7 Airlines
S7 Airlines (Sibir Airlines brand) has the largest in Russia network of internal routes, organized with base at three large air transport nodes in Moscow (Domodedovo), Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo) and Irkutsk. S7 Airlines makes regular flights to CIS countries, Europe, Near East, South Asia and countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
The history of the airlines began in 1957 from the date of the first civil flight from the defence airport in Novosibirsk region, being part of the Tolmachevo united air group. Sibir Airlines was formed based on this air group. Since 2005 Sibir Airlines makes flights under the brand S7 Airlines.
At present S7 Airlines has the most modern and one of the youngest park of aircrafts in the Russian air carriage market. The average age of aircrafts, flown by S7 Airlines, is eight years. All flights by the airline are made only on aircrafts of foreign make manufactured by Airbus and Boeing. The park of S7 Airlines constitutes 31 aircrafts. 19 Airbus A319 aircrafts, nine Airbus A320 liners, one Airbus A310 aircraft and two long distance liners Boeing 767-300.
S7 Airlines is a member of the global oneworld aviation alliance, world leader in providing quality services to passengers. The oneworld airlines are based at all the continents and fly to 141 countries of the world. The airlines members of the oneworld alliance offer passengers a lot more services and advantages than each of the airlines individually. S7 Airlines membership in oneworld confirms the airline's conformity to international quality and safety standards.
Branches and representations of S7 operate in 37 cities in Russia, 13 cities in CIS countries and 14 in non-CIS countries including at Frankfurt on Maine (Germany), Beijing (China), Seoul (South Korea), Antaliya (Turkey) and Bangkok (Thailand).
S7 Airlines is the leader in implementation of modern technologies for on-line service of passengers in the Russian air carriage market. The Airlines offers passengers comfortable services for the choice of flights, reservation of tickets, their payment and check-in for the flight through S7 Airlines website, mobile phone and Contact Center. In January 2011 the airline launched the "mobile boarding pass" service. In 2009 S7 Airlines offered passengers mobile website s7.ru, the first in Russia among the airlines. In 2008 S7 Airlines completely changed over to use of e-ticket technology.
S7 has S7 Priority program for frequent fliers enabling passengers to collect miles for the flights and get bonuses from S7 Airlines, oneworld airlines and partners of the program.
Since 2001 S7 Airlines is a full-fledged member of International Air Transport Association (IATA). In 2007 after successful international audit for conformity to operational safety the airline has been included in the register of operators IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit).
In February 2004 the airline was awarded the prize of the prestigious American magazine Air Transport World in the category "Market Leaders", and a year before it became the first in Russian civil aviation winner of the prize Flight International Aerospace Awards by the Flight International (Great Britain) magazine in the category "Corporate Strategy".
In 2007 S7 Airlines became the winner of the annual national prize "People's brand / Brand No 1 in Russia".
In November 2008 S7 Airlines was awarded the annual professional award in the sphere of sales, marketing and advertisement Sales Business Awards for 2008.
S7 Airlines along with Globus Airline, international tour operator S7 Tour, retail chain for sales of tickets and tour packages S7 Ticket, as well as with a series of other companies, conducting air carriages, is part of the S7 Group of Companies.
5,927,581 passengers used the services of airlines, members of the S7 Group of Companies, in 2010. The airlines of S7 Group once again confirmed their leadership by the number of passengers carried on the domestic air routes. 4,475,157 passengers were transported on flights in Russia.
