Moscow Domodedovo Airport is attending the IATA Slot Conference opening today in Toronto and being one the largest events organized by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). At the Slot Conference, Domodedovo and partner airline companies are planning a series of meetings to obtain and coordinate the slots which would enable the best flight schedule for the next spring-summer season. Besides, the event participants will consider some vital issues of the air transport industry: flight safety, flight operations, tariff policy, and the development of international industry standards.With the view of offering their customers an optimal destination network and schedule, Domodedovo regularly participates in the IATA exhibition. To identify the industry development trends, to improve cooperation efficiency and to find new alternatives the main questions are discussed by the company experts, in addition to the airport schedule optimization. Traditionally, August is the peak month in terms of the number of served passengers: during last month of summer, 3,232,687 passengers used services of Moscow Domodedovo Airport’s, and it is 7.1% more than the same period last year. The number of takeoff and landing operations was 25,329.In August, the passenger traffic in domestic airlines (DAL) increased on 15.3% compared to the same period in 2011: airport’s services were used by more than 1,320,000 people. Passenger traffic in international airlines (IAL) exceeded more than 1,911,000 people in August.Over the whole summer holiday period, the airport has provided its services to more than 9,123,000 passengers. Passenger flow amounted to 2 million 751 thousand people in June 2012 Resuming the results of June 2012 Moscow Domodedovo Airport traditionally became the leader in terms of passenger flow among the airports of Moscow aviation hub: 2,751,577 people attended the airport, which is 6,2% more than in June 2011. An absolute record in number of passengers served per day was achieved on June 30, 2012: 114 661 people. The last year record passenger flow was set on August 14 and amounted to 109 238 people. Number of flights in June 2012 reached the mark of 23,458 takeoff and landing operations. Following the results of June 2012 the passenger flow of domestic airlines amounted to 1 107 563 people, which exceeds by 11,8% the results of corresponding period last year. The number of passengers served by international airlines increased by 2,8% compared to last year and amounted to 1 644 014 people. It was created with the participation of Rainer Sigg, world-class chef, winner of  Michelin stars.One of the characteristic features of the “World on a plate” concept is a selection of four cuisines: American, European, Russian and Asian. This classification will allow airlines - partners  of Domodedovo, the airport which has the most extensive route network among Russian airports, to create on board the aircraft the atmosphere of a country to which it flies.Members of the special Tasting Council had the chance to be the first to appreciate the new concept and had the task to approve courses offered for the new navigation season.
