A total number of 2,875,168 travellers used the services of Moscow Domodedovo Airport in September 2012, which represents the increase by 8.4% compared to September 2011. There were 23,717 take-offs and landings in September, making a total of over 190,900 for the first nine months of 2012. Compared to the same period in 2011, in January-September 2012 passenger traffic at Domodedovo increased by 9% to 21,592,365. Most popular destinations for travellers from Domodedovo during these nine months of 2012 were Antalya, London, Barcelona, Dubai and Munich (over 2,366,000 travellers in total). Domodedovo airport is becoming increasingly attractive for the transfer passengers, offering convenient transit thanks to the broadest route network in Russia comprising a total of 243 destinations, 85 of which are unique to the Moscow aviation hub. In September 2011, airberlin welcomed 3,683,519 passengers on board, i.e. about 1 percent more than in the corresponding month of the previous year (September 2010: 3,652,087 passengers). At 82.8 percent, fleet capacity utilization remained approximately at the previous year's level (+ 0.1 percentage points). Capacity increased by 0.7 percent over the previous year.
