In July 2012, Moscow Domodedovo Airport served 3,139,513 people, which is 7.8% more, than in the same period in 2011. Number of take offs and landings amounted to 24,985 in July. According to the statistics of 7 months of 2012 the passenger flow at Domodedovo Airport grew by 9.6% compared to the same period of 2011 and reached 15,484,510 people. The Airport has handled 141,870 flights during the period from January to July 2012.The most significant growth of passenger flow was recorded in domestic airlines (DAL) in July 2012, if compared to July 2011 – 18.5%, the airport served 1,278,288 people. For 7 months of this year the passenger flow on domestic flights exceeded the last year’s figures by 13.9% and amounted to 6,286,670 people. The highest growth (+24.3%) provided the following routes: St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Anapa, and Sochi. Aleksey Raevsky, Deputy Director of the Moscow Domodedovo Airport for Commerce, commented on the results of the month: "We have updated two key figures in July. These would be the record of monthly passenger traffic - the airport served 2.9 mln. people; and daily value of the passenger flow, which went over 105 th. people twice".On 1 July 2011 daily passenger flow of the Moscow Domodedovo Airport reached 107 206 passengers for the first time in the history. And on 31 July 2011 this new record was broken by one more maximum - 109 825 passengers.Reaffirming its title of the largest airport in Russia in July 2011 Domodedovo has increased number of flights for 16.3% if compared to July of the last year; total of 24 071 take off and landing operations was performed. Passenger flow of the airport in July 2011 was 2 912 932 people, making it 17.9% more than in July 2010. In July 2011, airberlin welcomed 3,809,401 guests on board, i.e. 2.9 percent more than in the corresponding month of the previous year (July 2010: 3,700,971 passengers). Fleet capacity utilization for July increased by 3.3 percentage points, i.e. from 81.2 to 84.5 percent. As compared to July 2010, capacity was reduced by 1.1 percent.For the period from January to July, a total of 20,232,567 passengers traveled on airberlin's flight network, i.e. 5.2 percent more than in the corresponding period of the previous year. Fleet capacity utilization for the first seven months of the year increased by 3.1 percentage points, i.e. from 73.8 to 76.9 percent. airberlin and British Airways have reached a codeshare agreement covering selected flights within Europe. Scheduled to start on 5 July 2011, the cooperation agreement applies to flights to 40 over European destinations served by the two airlines. Business travellers and holidaymakers will in future be able to reserve flights with an airberlin flight number from various German airports to London Heathrow, with the flights themselves being operated by British Airways. The code share also applies to non-stop British Airways flights from Frankfurt and Zurich to London City Airport, and flights from Salzburg to London Gatwick. Connecting flights within Britain will be available to passengers from the three London airports of Heathrow, Gatwick and London City Airport, as well as flights to Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Canary Islands.
