Yamal Airlines has launched regular flights between Moscow and Arkhangelsk from Moscow Domodedovo Airport. Tickets are already on sale for the route, which represents the new, unique to Domodedovo destination. On September 20, 2012 the failure of the global SITA system (Atlanta, USA) was registered. From 20:02 local time for carriers which use SITA system and operate the flights from Moscow Domodedovo Airport, this check-in system was not available.Moscow Domodedovo Airport continued to operate in a regular mode in spite of this failure. Domodedovo airport suggested to its partners to use an alternative method of passengers check-in – through its own local check-in system. By 23:45 local time September 20, the failure in SITA system was eliminated. All flights from Moscow Domodedovo Airport are carried out on time.   >>>

The technology of zoning in the organization of aircraft maintenance developed by the airport experts for ground handling resources optimization will make it possible to bring the quality of services to the fundamentally new level as well as to lower non-productive run of the equipment by 40%.In order to implement the technology, the airport has created “integrated teams” which include all ground handling professionals: supervisors, container mechanization operators, loader drivers, ramp operators, aircraft mechanics, dock workers. Each integrated team is responsible for the maintenance of a specific aircraft.
