Moscow’s Domodedovo International Airport has summarized its operation results for the first seven months of 2008. According to the statistics, Domodedovo continues to lead among the airports of the Moscow aviation node in terms of the passenger traffic volume. In January – July 2008, the airport serviced 11,955,779 passengers, which is a 19.5% increase as compared to the same period of the past year. In July 2008, the airport serviced 2,301,672 passengers, which is an 8.9% increase as compared to July 2007. The passenger traffic volume on the routes to the following destinations has grown most significantly: St. Petersburg, Frankfurt, Kaliningrad, Munich, Sochi, Bangkok, Sharm-El-Sheikh, Vienna, and Krasnodar. In January – July 2008, Domodedovo serviced 2,104,645 passengers on these routes, which is 1.7 times the number of passengers serviced on these routes in the first seven months of 2007.

The most significant passenger traffic growth was observed on flights to the following destinations: Yekaterinburg, Hurghada, Antalya, Vienna, London, Bangkok, St. Petersburg, Chelyabinsk, Tivat, and Baku. In January – July 2007, Domodedovo serviced 2,406 thousand passengers traveling to these destinations, which is 1.4 times the number of passengers serviced on flights to these destinations in the first seven months of 2006. In July 2007, the overall passenger traffic processed by the airport amounted to 2,113 thousand people which is a 22.0% increase as compared to the July 2006 figure. In seven months of 2004 the total amount of passengers served by Domodedovo International Airport reached 6.667.000, representing 42,9% year on year growth. Passenger flow on international routes reached 3.462 million passengers, which is a 67,7% more compared with the same period of 2003. The highest growth was recorded on routes to such popular destinations as London, Hurgada, Antalya, Sharm El Sheikh and Dubai. A total of 1.292 million travelers to these destinations went through Domodedovo, which is nearly 2 times more than in the same period in 2003. The number of domestic passengers at Domodedovo in the January-July period was 3.215 million people, a 23.3% increase over the last year’s level.Domodedovo’s monthly passenger traffic volume in July 2004 reached 1.387.530 people, which is 31,1 percent more than in July 2003.
