In 2012 there will again be two courses for 30 prospective commercial pilots. The airberlin flightschool is taking a road show to Berlin, Hamburg, Essen and Essen to give those interested in becoming a pilot an insight into the training involved. Ralf Nagel, airberlin?s Head of Flight Operations, and Christian Kфufer, Managing Director of TFC Kфufer flying school, will be happy to answer any questions relating to the selection process, the training required to qualify as a commercial pilot and also a pilot?s typical working day. This morning, Joachim Hunold, airberlin's CEO, announced that he intends to offer the Board of Directors his resignation from the office as CEO of the company as per 1 September 2011. Mr. Joachim Hunold would like to remain bound to the company for the future as a Non-Executive Director and recommends that Mr. Hartmut Mehdorn, who is already a member of the Board of Directors of the company, becomes his interim successor as CEO.Joachim Hunold stated: "I have come to the conclusion that a change of leadership will accelerate our newly launched "Shape & Size? program."
