Moscow Domodedovo Airport has summarized the January results: passenger traffic increased 13,8%. According to the results of January 2012 period, passenger traffic of Domodedovo airport amounted to 1 846 941 people, which is 13,8% more than January 2011 period. The airport handled 18 137 flights or 2% more compared with the relative period. Domestic sector marked 700 159 people handled in January which is an increase of 27,3% compared to 2011 figures. The following Russian destinations have resulted to be the most popular: Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, Novy Urengoy, Krasnodar, Sochi. The passenger traffic on these routes has increased 60,4%. International sector marked 1 146 782 people handled which is an increase of 6,9% compared with January 2011 period. The most dynamic increase of passenger traffic was registered on the following routes: Kyiv, Geneva, Dubai, Rimini, Frankfurt, making 46,4% (pic.2).
