The automatic announcements system’s (AAS) coverage expanded at Moscow Domodedovo international airport: the system was placed into service at VIP and business halls.The main AAS function is to generate speech announcements for passengers in the terminal concerning such events as passenger registration and baggage check-in, flight boarding, baggage claim, arrivals, delays, and flight cancellations.The system functions at domestic and international carriers’ VIP and business halls, at Silver lounge, Austrian Airlineas and British Airways business halls. EAST LINE Group, an operator of Domodedovo International Airport, jointly with JSC Russian Railroads and Moscow Railroad have started realization of the project to enlarge the passenger air terminal at Paveletsky Railway Station. The downtown terminal and High-speed railways link Paveletsky station - Domodedovo International Airport are important constituents of the airport's infrustructure. After the recunstruction, the total air terminal area will be enlarged almost two-folds, up to 3.000 sq.meters. The project realization will make for substantial increase of the level of services for passengers using the high-speed link. The amount of check-in counters will increase up to 14 (against today's 8). Passengers will be entitled to a range of new services, including new retail outlets with a drug store, a souvenir shop, a shop for travellers.The High-Speed railway system was launched on August 3, 2002 backed by the initiative of Gennady Matveyev, at that time the head of Moscow Railroads, and the management of   >>>

Karthago Airlines has started realizing a new winter programme from Domodedovo International Airport. A new flight to Monastir has been launched. The new flight is the 26th destination within the airport's international route network. As of December 14, 2004 Karthago Airlines started performing sheduled flights from Domodedovo to Monastir. The flights are performed on Tuesdays by Boeing 737-300. Since December 25 the flights will also be performed on Saturday with a frequency 1 flight per three weeks. Swiss airline has become the first company from the far foreign countries, that started to provide this service to its clients. Registration at Paveletskiy station will be carried out for two day flights to Geneva and Zurich. The registration for both flights begins at 12.00.At the present moment about a quarter of the entire airport passenger traffic uses the services of a speed transport system connecting Domodedovo airport with the capital of Moscow by the speed railway communication.The project of a speed transport system has been realized by the efforts of Ministry of Railway Communications, Russian Railway, Moscow Railway and EAST LINE Group – managing company of Domodedovo airport. It allowed the passengers to get from the center of Russian capital to the airport maximum for 40 minutes. Terminal at Paveletskiy station is a mini-airport, where a passenger can register for the flight and hand in baggage.     >>>
