A seminar titled "Information technologies as a cornerstone for uniting interests of airlines and airports" was held in Domodedovo International Airport on June 22, 2004. Domodedovo Terminal Cargo (DTC), Russia’s largest international air cargo handling complex, which is a member of EAST LINE Group, has been successfully introducing a new technology in handling heavy cargo.Particular attention in the new technology is attached to optimizing methods of centering and fixing air cargo inside aircraft. Over 45 thousand people have taken part in Internet polls, which were conducted at the official Internet site of Domodedovo International Airport – www.domodedovo.ru - since December 2003. The goal of this project is to let the maximum number of airport clients speak out on the quality of services offered at Domodedovo, to sum up recommendations and suggestions on improving already existing services, as well as on launching new ones. Within first five months of 2004, the total passenger traffic at Domodedovo International Airport reached 4.083 million, which is 49.4 percent more than in the similar period in 2003. The number of passengers on international flights in the period was 2.074 million, an 88.4 percent growth as compared with last year.The highest growth was recorded on routes to such popular destinations as Hurgada, Sharm El Sheikh, Dubai and Antalya. A new "night" menu for railway passengers is developed by Domodedovo Air Service catering facility, a subsidiary of the EAST LINE Group. The new menu is the next step forward to increase the level of service provided for passengers of night trains. The new ration features fast assimilating ingredients, more water and extended shelf life. Kobus is a leading manufacturer of apron buses, holding 80-90% of the market. Domodedovo Jet Service fuelling facility, a company of the EAST LINE Group, has enlarged its fueler fleet with 7 new refuellers TZA-20. The purchase is entailed by considerable traffic flow growth at Domodedovo International Airport. The new refuellers fully comply with all international aircraft refuelling standards, including aviation fuel water and mechanical impurities decontamination standards. A new centre for aircraft certification is established at Domodedovo International Airport. The centre's clients will be airlines subordinate to Russian Civial Aviation Athourity, operating Il-62M, Il-76, Il-86, Tu-134, Tu-154 aircrafts.According to aviation athority requirements, any civil aircraft is permitted to be operated only provided that it has a valid certificate for airworthiness.
