Today, Domodedovo International Airport hosted a workshop-presentation of electronic air transportation ticketing under the Settlement System for Air Transportation. Domodedovo International Airport continues to extend its park of special automotive vehicles while maintaining the leading position in terms of passenger traffic among the Russian airports and high standards of the most modern airport in Russia.Priority is given to replacement and new acquisitions of aircraft de-icing vehicles. Flight safety during the winter season is ensured by high-quality and timely treatment of aircraft by de-icing/anti-icing fluids.Currently, the park of de-icers of the Domodedovo Airport’s maintenance vehicles service includes such vehicles as ELEFANT produced by Dutch VESTERGAARD, LMD-2000 by American FMC, SDI-218 by Swedish concern SAFEAERO. Domodedovo International Airport expects that passenger traffic will grow during the winter holidays. January-November 2005 results indicate that Domodedovo International Airport maintains the leading position in terms of passenger traffic in the Moscow aviation hub. The airport’s overall turnover in the first eleven months of 2005 reached 12,970,000 passengers, a 15.4% increase over the same period of 2004. The highest growth in passenger numbers was recorded on routes to such destinations as Antalya, Tel Aviv, Tashkent, Sharm el Sheikh, Sochi, Hurghada, Barcelona, Dubai. Karthago Airlines, Tunisian air carrier, starts carrying out its regular winter programme of flights to Monastir, a Tunisian tourist center, from Domodedovo International Airport. The programme is carried out for the third consequent year and is popular with Russian travelers.This year the programme will start on November 15 and will last till March 21.
