For two consecutive years, Sheremetyevo International Airport has emerged as the winner of the most prestigious travel business award “Readers’ Choice Condé Nast Traveler” in the nominating category “Best Russian Airport.” The winners were honored on March 17, 2014.
For several months, the readers ofВ CondГ© Nast Traveler Magazine voted onВ the official website and filled inВ magazine questionnaires toВ determine winners inВ ten nominating categories such asВ the best foreign and Russian hotels, the best airline, the best airport, favorite city and the most welcoming country.
“For the past several years, Sheremetyevo Airport has achieved considerable success and implemented a large-scale development program involving both infrastructure and client services. It is a great honor for us to be recognized as the best Russian airport according to Condé Nast Traveler for the second time. It is even more gratifying that this choice has been made by the readers themselves, meaning our passengers and guests — the people we work for and who use our services every day,” says Dmitry Kaigorodov, Director of the Management Board for passenger traffic organization at Sheremetyevo Airport.
AsВ you may recall, Sheremetyevo Airport was previously recognized asВ the top European airport offering the best service quality according toВ the rating byВ the reputable Airport Service Quality research program ofВ ACI (Airports Council International).
For two consecutive years, Sheremetyevo Airport has proved its status as the top European airport offering the best service quality. Thus, Sheremetyevo Airport was the first Russian airport to receive the status of honorary leader according to the independent ACI ASQ rating in 2012, and then went on to prove and even build on its success according to certain key indicators based on 2013 results. The ACI award reflects passengers’ opinion across 34 key service indicators and constitutes an unbiased and accurate criterion for determining the leaders among airports from all over the world.
CondГ© Nast Traveler Magazine was first published inВ Great Britain inВ 1997. ItВ soon appeared inВ Italy, Spain, Greece and India. Russia has become the seventh country toВ publish CondГ© Nast Traveler.
